Overview

Last summer, we started rebuilding the STM’S Complexe Crémazie, replacing the vast maintenance shops originally built in 1948 with a new multifunctional three-storey building, complete with underground parking, new mechanical lines with cylinders and industrial spaces and offices. The project aims for LEED Gold certification, including in particular highly reflective white rooftops and green roof systems, natural light, a heat recovery system.

Overview

This Construction Management project consists of a 12-storey care and apartment complex for seniors, with a total of 277 units in a variety of types of accommodation, as well as extensive common areas and underground parking. The total area of the project is approximately 350,000 square feet.

The project will be managed and built to the Green Globes system.

Preconstruction for Phase 2 began in August 2015 with construction commencing in April 2016.

Phase 2 will be connected to the existing Phase 1 Long Term Care Facility, which must remain in full operation at all times.

Overview

Enbridge and WalterFedy trusted us again after wrapping up the LEED Gold New Tecumseh Office and Warehouse in Mooretown! 

The interior and exterior renovations to Enbridge’s North York 60,000 square foot facility include a new gas meter assembly shop, a new mechanical penthouse, office areas, and new exterior cladding. The Enbridge Gas Distribution Annex Renovation was completed on an expedited schedule.

This project was executed with phased construction to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the facility remain uninterrupted.

Overview

This project consisted of the construction of the "D" Pavilion for the new Montreal University Health Centre. This phase of the project included preparation works, excavation works, foundations, and concrete structure of a 20-storey building, including four levels of underground parking totaling 2,000,000 square feet. This new pavilion accommodates 772 new beds and houses the new centralized energetic centre.

Overview

The aim of the project was to upgrade the existing wastewater treatment plant, increase the wastewater treatment capacity to 36,550 m3 / d (max) and increase the hydraulic capacity of the treatment process to 49,050 m3 / d (storm flow). Basically, the works included: • Construction of the new sludge pre-treatment buildings and the MBBR reactor; • Construction of a new main water pumping station with a capacity of 50,000 m3 / d; • Supply and installation of sludge treatment equipment (equalization basin, thickeners, dewatering system, sludge pumping system); • Modification of the pumping station; • Modification of the lift station for the plant effluent; • Supply and installation of an odor treatment system; • Construction of a garage. The whole treatment system is controlled according to the amount of sludge entering it. Everything is adjustable, both for the dosage of the polymer and for the passage time in the centrifuges. Thus, the whole ventilation system is controlled (opening and closing of the shutters, heating, air conditioning, etc.) as well as the biofiltration ventilation system. One of our responsibilities was to coordinate all stakeholders to ensure that the entire system was functional: buildings, processes, and treatment interfaces. The start-up of the plant was an integral part of our mandate.

Overview

The Darlington Energy Complex (DEC) is a premiere nuclear training centre including ground-breaking innovation and leading-edge technology.

The DEC, a multi-purpose building of approximately 300,000 square feet, includes offices for 450 staff, public information centre with interactive educational displays, 160-seat auditorium, warehouse space, and technologically advanced training centre and tool testing facility that included a full-scale mock-up of the reactor core. The structure of the center consists of cast-in-place concrete foundations, structural steel framing, insulated metal wall panels and aluminum framing with high efficiency glazing. This multi-use facility required many types of acoustic treatment to architectural components to prevent sound transmission from mechanical and tool testing areas to the office space.

The DEC is a Gold LEED certified project, achieving a 73% reduction in exterior lighting power, 50% reduction in interior lighting power, including occupancy and daylight sensors, 35% indoor water saving, and a 90% increase in efficiency in the condensing boilers.

Overview

We were the Construction Managers for the expansion of the Dr. Oetker Pizza Manufacturing Facility with the construction of a High Bay Freezer!

This cold storage and shipping facility services the manufacturing plant. This expansion has sub-zero temperatures, a staging and shipping area and was completed with an automated system. The project also included an office area for Dr. Oetker staff and the Canada Food Inspection Agency.
